The Company operates a well established training process whereby all employees have the opportunity to sit down and discuss with their line manager their continual professional development needs, as well as any future training requirements and objectives for the forthcoming year. Therefore we actively encourage all employees to continue their development through the various channels that are available both internally and sourced externally.
Some years back the Company took the decision to get all Engineering personnel trained in supervising sites. Accordingly they were all enrolled on a unique IOSH certified course for the drilling and geotechnics industry entitled ‘Safe Supervision of Geotechnical Sites’. This course concentrates on those hazards site engineers routinely deal with as part of geotechnical site investigations, gaining certification which meets the competency requirements of CDM 2015.
All site operatives (managers, engineering employees, technicians, lead drillers, and drillers) have a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. Furthermore all site operatives (with the exception of labourers) are obliged to undertake an 3 day first aid course.
